Free Zoom Cooking Class with Jeni Wheeler

Learn how to cook something new! Join Jeni Wheeler, founder of Family Table Collaborative (a local food access organization!) for a FREE Zoom cooking class to learn how to make a fresh and nutritious meal brighten up your dinner table. Vegan alternatives will always be offered.
We’ll provide you with a list of ingredients before the class and send you the recipe after. Have ideas for something Jeni can make? We’re always looking for suggestions!
Registration is required to attend this event, and Zoom links will be sent to participants the day of the meeting.
New Thanksgiving Sides:
Jeni’s Squash Smash Up
– 2 large sweet potatoes
– 1 package of precut butternut squash
– maple syrup
– 1 large white or yellow onion
– cayenne pepper
– 1 stick of butter (or butter alternative to keep it vegan)
– salt and pepper
Savory Carrot and Turnip Mash
– 3 good sized turnips
– 4 large carrots
– Preferably, fresh thyme. If not, dried.
– Olive oil
– Adobo
– Salt and pepper
– Butter, optional
