Free Zoom Cooking Class with Jeni Wheeler

Learn how to cook something new! Join Jeni Wheeler, founder of Family Table Collaborative (a local food access organization!) for a FREE Zoom cooking class to learn how to make a fresh and nutritious meal brighten up your dinner table. Vegan alternatives will always be offered.
We’ll provide you with a list of ingredients before the class and send you the recipe after. Have ideas for something Jeni can make? We’re always looking for suggestions!
Registration is required to attend this event, and Zoom links will be sent to participants the day of the meeting.
VEGGIE STIR FRY
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons minced ginger
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 teaspoons soy sauce or Bragg’s amino acids (more to taste)
2 tablespoons rice wine or dry sherry
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 small cabbage, 1/2-1 pound
1 medium carrot, cut into julienne
2 baby Bok Choy
2 stocks of celery
1 can of sliced water chestnuts
1-2 cups of an array of mushrooms
Extra firm tofu, or, if you’d like it to not be vegetarian, get 1 or 2 chicken breasts. They’ll be cooked and diced into small pieces.
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons chives and/or cilantro
Other vegetables that can be added: zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, yellow squash, corn.
Can be put over steamed rice or rice noodles, if desired.
