Forensic Entomology with Larry Dapsis – Crime Scenes and Bugs

August 18 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free
Text that says "Forensic Entomology with Larry Dapsis" and an image of crime scene tape, a fingerprint, and a magnifying glass over a bug.

Ever wonder how investigators look at crime scenes? Join Entomologist Larry Dapsis for a presentation on forensic entomology, and the study of how bugs impact crime scene analysis.

Insects are now used to investigate a number of problems, ranging from contamination of foods, apartment problems, and violent crimes, including murder. Learn about the key bug players and how they have helped to solve crimes that conventional investigation techniques could not.

The event will take place either in person at the Cotuit Library or via Zoom. Email ehumphreys@clamsnet.org or call (508) 428-8141 to register. Presented by the Cotuit Library and the Hyannis Public Library.
